Dassel and Cokato Elementary Preschool Students Only:
Care received between 6:00 -8:00 am, before school, or from 3:15-6:00 pm, after school, will be through the Charger Kids Club program.
- Students will be separated based on age during the times we have the most students.
- Preschool students will remain with the younger group consisting of kindergarten and 1st-grade students.
- There may be times when the number of students drops low enough that those in attendance will be in a single group with staff. Those times usually only occur for a short period of time in the early morning or later evening. Please reach out if you have any questions with regard to age-based grouping.
- Students will be separated based on age during the times we have the most students.

Will childcare be offered in the summer for enrolled children?
**Beginning summer of 2024!
Yes! Our plan is to offer care during the summer months to those who were signed up during the school year.

Is financial assistance available for chilcare?
Only licensed providers can participate in the CCAP program (Child Care Assistance Program). Little Chargers Childcare is currently a license-exempt provider and, as such, cannot participate in the CCAP program.
We are currently researching potential options and will communicate with families if we are able to offer financial assistance opportunities in the future.

Is there a transportation fee?
No, there is currently no fee for the Dassel Elementary preschool students being transported to and from Cokato elementary.

What does it mean to be potty trained?
Each child MUST be potty trained and be able to use the bathroom independently. If a Pull-Up is needed during rest time, it must be able to be put on independently and taken off.

What items will my child need for care?
We will provide a full list later this summer, but here are some items to think about! (All items should contain both first and last name)
- Extra change of clothing
- Pillow and blanket for rest time
- Water bottle
- Backpack
- Appropriate outdoor clothes
- If you choose not to have a school lunch, a lunch from home will be required.
